Despite a slow getaway, Bold And Lucy has circled her rivals in today’s BM75 over 1300m on the Sunshine Coast, to record an impressive win, the 6th of her career.

Have drawn the widest in a field of eight, Bold And Lucy and jockey Nikita Beriman had no interest in being involved with the early speed, with the grey daughter of Bold Attraction settling down a clear last through the first furlong.

Reaching the top turn and passing through the 1000m mark, Bold And Lucy caught up with the field, who had at the same time, slackened the pace meaning Bold And Lucy and had to be eased of heels.

Setting back into a rhythm, Bold And Lucy, although still last, was only six lengths of the leader as the field turned for home.

Bermian bided her time and produced Bold And Lucy just prior to the 300m pole, on the outside of the field and into clear air.

Relishing the soft 7 track, Bold And Lucy let down well, hitting the lead with 100m to run and proving too strong late, recording a widening three quarters of a length victory.
