Garnett Taylor, grew up in the small town of St George and became a shearer at age 15 until his late 20’s. His father owned a few racehorses, Garnett then owned a couple and once he got that bug, there was only one choice and that was to train.
In 2009, Garnett setup stables in Rockhampton before relocating to the Sunshine Coast where he has the best of both worlds for the horses he trains. Access to excellent facilities on course, regular beach work and the option to box horses or use day yards has meant individual attention to his horses can be achieved.
Garnett loves being around horses and working everyday with his family. Committed and passionate about his career, he and the family have experienced some great success and highlights more recently, Falverosa and Bonny the Viper both wining the Capricorn Classic in 2008 and 2011.

Kaye is married to Garnett and is Mother to Clinton, Cameron and Alisha. Kaye works in the stable 7 days a week working hands on with the horses and attends most race meetings.
Alisha Taylor
Apprentice
Alisha is the youngest in the family and was apprenticed to her Dad. She rides trackwork each day, helps around the stables and rides majority of the horses on raceday. This is a huge advantage to our clients because when it comes to raceday she knows that horse better than anyone else could.

Michael is a very skilled horseman who has been with us for 7 years. He rides alot of work for us, attends race meetings and is an extremely hard worker.
