Garnett Taylor Racing is located in Rockhampton, on the Capricorn Coast.  A family thoroughbred racing stable, which has so much to offer owners and their horses.

Garnett took out his trainers licence in 1993, and has been established in Rockhampton for the past 5 years.  Garnett works with the support and hands on assistance of his wife, Kaye, and daughter Alisha, apprentice jockey to the stable.   Sons, Clinton, a former jockey,  works the property and assists in the stable when required and Cameron rides work, although more recently spends much of his time riding bulls in rodeos!

Based on course at Rockhamptons' Callaghan Park, and also a property located in Rockhampton, we have access to a variety of  facilities,  which enables the flexibility to train horses as individuals at all times, some spend their days in the paddocks and others in the main stable, doing what suits that individual.

As a hands on trainer it is not unfamiliar to see  Garnett Taylor and Co. working horses on the beach and taking full advantage of the track facilities providing the best of both worlds for their team of horses.

Success and Highlights include winning the Capricorn Classic twice in 2008 with Falverosa and 2011 with Bonny The Viper and one of Garnetts earlier successful gallopers was Speedie Gonzales who raced 31 times for 9 wins, two of those were at Eagle Farm.
